Get Ready to RocK (UK)This band know how to rock in the old school style and make no mistake. Unashamed hard rock in the style of 70's Uriah Heep, Rainbow and 80's rockers Accept. There is nothing new on here or pushing musical boundaries but when songs rock along like `Don't Believe'and `Swim In The Mud' (I can just imagine a video for that one!) you can't help but tap your foot and crank up the air guitar. The band have been going since 1995 but hopefully this new album on Lion Music will break them into ma bigger audience. Sea of Tranquility (USA)Listeria play a mix of classic 80's metal and contemporary power metal. While at first that might not sound too unique (and let's face it, it's not) the band have conjured up some catchy melodies and injected some tasty licks on Full of Fire on the Lion Music label. Guitarist Luciano Toscani lays down some wicked leads and fills all over this CD, especially on songs like the catchy "Wolf Over 3 D" and "Swim in the Mud", and his axe cohort Pierluigi Boschi provides plenty of muscular and chugging rhythms as well. The vocals of Vittorio Scotti are cut from the same cloth as Timo Kotipelto, Michael Kiske, and Tobias Sammett, and he works best on the crunchy anthems like "Emily", "Shadow", "Like Ali" and the quirky "Little Star". The guys can crank it out pretty heavy when they want-just listen to the pounding "Delight", which will get your fist pumping in no time.Full of Fire is enjoyable if you just take it for what it is, a throwback to the glory days of pretentious metal yet rooted in todays European power metal scene. Think Armored Saint, MSG, Blue Murder, Edguy, Stratovarius, and Helloween, and you get a good idea of what to expect with Listeria. By.Pete Pardo
 
 
Metal To Infinity (BELGIUM)Listeria, the furious Hard Rock 'n' Rolling band from Italy is back after a silence of two years. A silence, i mean that i did the review of these guys' MCD back then entitled "Again". It was a five song, self produced product which i liked from the very forst time. I was hoping deep inside myself that Listeria needed (and deserved) the approaching of a major record label. Well, check it out...my hopes are fulfilled after the band signed a deal with Lion Music. Good choice from the side of the label because these Italians have a lot of potential in their might.Title of the new one is "Full Of Fire" and hell yeah, they still keeps on going on like they always did before. Rough and wild, in-your-face, Classic Hard Rock / Power Metal at its best. The album's first song "Like Ali" is a shot through the heart and has an eighties / early nineties vibe. Hard as hell, full forced ahead with strong song structures. magnificent singer in the vein of John Bush (ex-Armored Saint / Anthrax) leads the band straight away to a higher, more energetic level than ever before. One thing is for sure, Listeria is taking us all by storm and delivers the world-wide Metal maniacs nothing but great works!"Wolf Over" is another, great sounded song with strong riffs, hard hitting drums,...awesome! Alright, pedal to the metal with third song in line called "Swim In The Mud". Some other great songs are: "Little Star", "Rock Is My DJ", "Action", to name a few only. I swear from the bottom of my heart the entire album (10 songs) are played with an endless form of power, strength and courage. This is what i absolutely like in a band. A driven force resulted in songs coming straight from the heart. I've heard Listeria for the first time two years ago. They impressed me those days and their debut international release hits me in the face. They were good back then, well at the moment they're even better!The Lion Music staff delivered a fantastic piece of Metal music. The CD just stopped playing but i'll turn it on once again with a volume reduced to the maximum. It feels good, it feels heavy, it's just a very good album that Rocks you outta control. Live4Metal (USA)Since the mid 90s, this Italian outfit has been pumping out countless demos and have even been exposed to a few comps in their homeland. Now Lion Music has given these lads their big opportunity by releasing their debut disc. Even though it has ten tracks, it feels more like an E.P. because it clocks in at half an hour. Either way, I’ll take it because this is power metal performed to the max without the cheese. “Like Ali” starts out the show very strong with fierce dual guitar work that has a lot of muscle behind the axes while the drums are filled with energy and power. As far as Witto’s voice goes, he has the perfect fit for this genre. He doesn’t hit those high sissy notes. The guy belts it out with manly and tough lungs. The solos are wild and have a sort of Zakk Wylde flare, but I say that with sincerity and not mockery. They know how to slay the audience and after hearing this track alone, I want more. “Wolf Over 3D”may have a goofy sounding title, but the onslaught continues. While they may not be performing at 1,234,423 miles an hour, they can still pack a wallop! The tempo changes move accordingly from heavy to mid paced and so forth. And the best part about it is that it doesn’t sound redundant at any given moment. As the disc goes on, it seems that “Shadow” takes a different approach both musically and vocally. While the composition is loud and hard, it has more of a rock approach than metal. The solos are still wicked, but when you listen, you may get a better idea. Also, the Witto’s singing isn’t as forceful. It seems like he’s trying different ways of letting it out which is cool because it shows that he has an open mind, but his more aggressive ways suit him better. The closer “Rock Is My DJ” has been re-recorded countless times, but for most of us this is our first taste of it and it’s a sheer home run. It’s comparable to the material at the beginning and the fire burns hot here as we end this disc. I will say that Listeria shows a ton of promise as long as they stick to what they know. There is plenty of 80’s influences in here, but it’s not dated and the production is just right. While the songs in the middle are a bit soft thanks to their experimenting, I would say kill those off and stick to what you know, and that’s playing with high energy. If you thought Primal Fear was heavy, then you haven’t heard anything yet.By:Joe Florez
 

Metalexpressradio(USA - GREECE)Listeria is a five-piece band that was born somewhere in Italy, 15 years ago. In search of publicity, the band participated in the Opening Band Contest in 1997, which was organized in order to find a special guest for the European tour of Iron Savior and Edguy. The band was chosen to fill in the guest band seat after having sent the Listeria demo tape to the magazine Metal Hammer -- the co-organizer of the contest. Since then, Listeria has had intense live activity, supporting great bands, and becoming more and more popular. After winning another contest, the five Italians had the chance to record their second demo tape, Something Mind, in late 98.The band followed this live contest pattern for some years, gaining much publicity through various compilations and radio show appearances. Their first "serious" studio recording was the mini-CD entitled Again, where they have crystallized their sound somewhere close to the old school Hard Rock of the 80s.The album opener, "Like Ali," is a straightforward, Hard Rock/Heavy Metal assault that clears up Listeria's music direction. The fast tempo drums and some guitar riffs have a Power Metal approach in the European way, presenting their modern point of view over the old school sound. "Wolf Over 3D" takes the listener back in the mid 80s with melodic, high pitched vocals, and exceptional guitar work, especially during the solo. The third track, "Swim in the Mud," gains some more speed, bringing to mind bands like Anvil, Armored Saint, and Motley Crüe, representing Listeria's major music influences. Everyone will be inclined to sing along the chorus lines after some decent headbanging intervals due to the fast paced rhythm section. By the way, this song was filmed to be Listeria's first video clip back in 1999, following the orders of the famous Italian director Zad. A short drum intro opens for "Emily" that is also comprised of solid guitar leads that could be found in a Van Halen release. A small tempo change happens in "Shadow" where the steady guitar rhythm supports Vittorio Scotti-Witto's vocals, which are deeply influenced by Steve "Lips" Kudlow performance from the legendary band from Canada, Anvil. "Don't Believe" and "Little Star" have some very good guitar licks that will entice the listener to crank up the old school air guitar! The best sing along and catchy chorus lines can be found in the latter song."Delight" and "Action" follow the aforementioned composing pattern that some could characterize as lack of creativeness. On the other hand, the songs are flawlessly composed and performed, proving the high skills of these Italians. The album closes with "Rock is My DJ," which is the perfect Hard Rock teaser for the future Listeria releases.After listening to Full of Fire, one can be sure that Lion Music has done something more than make a wise decision to sign a record deal with Listeria and distribute their maiden release. Hell Spawn (BELGIUM) Met het Italiaanse Listeria ontvangen we nog maar eens een bewijs dat Lion Music zich in de breedte wil versterken, zoals we dit in voetbaltermen vaak horen. De nationaliteit van de band indachtig kunnen we ook stellen dat Italië zich een ander imago in de scene tracht aan te meten, of hoe 'true metal' daar stilaan een waardevol begrip wordt. Gebaseerd op enkele muzikale hoogtepunten uit de jaren '80, maar dan met een moderne power metal sound, viert dit muzikale gezelschap namelijk zijn debuut en niets verraadt dat deze kerels nazaten van Caesar of Nero zijn. Wat voornamelijk opvalt, is de invloed van één der meest ondergewaardeerde metalbands uit de geschiedenis, Armored Saint. Ik weet het, men zegt dat deze kerels goed waren maar dat er iets ontbrak aan hun muziek om echt door te breken. Nochtans hebben zij songs gemaakt waar ik de dag van vandaag nog koude rillingen van krijg. Listeria slaagt daar bij momenten ook in en zij brengen power en melodie perfect in balans. Luister maar eens naar “Wolf over 3D” of “Shadow” en de schitterende, zeg maar sublieme, gitaarpartijen die hierin zijn verwerkt. De gelijkenis met 'the Saints' gaat nog meer op als je zanger Witto hoort, John Bush kan zich zo door deze kerel laten vervangen. Listeria heeft blijkbaar een voorkeur voor melodieuze metalbands uit de Amerikaanse glorieperiode en dat gaat hen heel goed af. Wat meer suspens, beroering, emotie of melancholie kan deze band tot een hoger niveau tillen. Toch is dit een band die meteen tot mijn kransje 'te volgen Europees talent' mag behoren.By.Rico

EUTK (ITALY) Come avevo sottolineato recensendo l'ultimo demo-cd dei Listeria ("Again") il quintetto emiliano appariva maturo per il salto di qualità di un debutto su lunga distanza, cosa che si è puntualmente avverata grazie alla Lion Music, l'etichetta che ha inserito la band nel proprio cartello. Ciò che più apprezzo di questo "Full of fire" ancor prima del discorso musicale, è la chiarezza d'idee. I Listeria non mascherano affatto la loro convinzione che il vero heavy metal sia quello prodotto negli anni '80, ed ancora meno si preoccupano di sembrare nostalgici ispirandosi ad esso. Così è tanto semplice quanto inevitabile cogliere nell'album forti derivazioni che ci riportano agli Accept o ai primi Grave Digger, ai Saxon o magari agli Helloween, senza per questo sminuire il buon lavoro di songwriting della formazione italiana. Fisicità esemplare e potenza ininterrotta, un classico rifferama diretto e sferzante, ritmiche solidamente heavy, assoli brevi e lancinanti, un valido cantante e quella spolverata melodica da inno d'acciaio che entusiasmava le folle dei concerti ottantiani. Il risultato non può che essere una serie di brani che forse non splenderanno per originalità ma tengono alto il tiro e la grinta per tutto il disco. Da episodi "bombastici" come "Like Alì", "Swim in the mud" o "Action", dove l'incedere tellurico a tratti mi ha ricordato i vetusti Krokus, passando per qualche tema appena meno irruento ma ugualmente elettrizzante, vedi "Emily" e "Delight", per finire con quella frustata metallica di "Rock is my dj" che può essere già considerata il cavallo di battaglia dei Listeria, non si notano flessioni né cedimenti. Puro heavy metal senza fronzoli, quello che si riconosce fin dalle prime note perché è componente essenziale del sangue di qualsiasi appassionato di questa musica. Complimenti ai Listeria per un disco di stampo tradizionale che non ha nulla di stantio, anzi gode di una freschezza spesso assente nei lavori di formazioni molto più blasonate di questa. Progressivewaves (FRANCE) Malgré le fait que « Full Of Fire » soit leur premier album, Listeria a déjà une certaine expérience dans le milieu métal. Fondé en 1995, la formation a pas mal tourné avec notamment une première partie pour Iron Savior en 1997. Jusqu'ici, le groupe n'avait sorti que trois démos entre 1996 et 2003. Listeria pratique un heavy metal trèsinfluencé par la scène anglaise du début des années 80 (Saxon, Iron Maiden) teinté d'un power metal dans le genre d'Armored Saint qui semble être l'influence majeure.Le résultat est un premier disque très abouti. Les compositions sont solides et les musiciens sont tout sauf des débutants. On notera d'emblée que Listeria possède un très bon chanteur, Vittorio Scotti, proche de Jon Bush d 'Armored et qui rappelle aussi par instant Bruce Dickinson époque Samson ou Bruce Ruff de White Spirit, ancien groupe de heavy metal anglais du début des années 80. Musicalement le tout est très carré, bien produit rendant l' écoute agréable.Il est certain que « Full Of Fire » n'a rien de révolutionnaire. Le contenu a déjà été entendu maintes fois mais les sensations sont au rendez-vous. Le début de l'album présente les meilleurs titres comme le très bon « Shadow », mid-tempo bien entêtant ou encore le titre d'ouverture « Like Ali », très péchu, parfait pour ouvrir l'album. Le mix entre les éléments anciens - voix très typée années 80 - et éléments modernes - guitares plus typés power metal - est très réussi. Même si la fin d'album est moins intense, on trouve quand même un excellent titre, « Delight », magnifié par les parties de chant qui a tout d'un tube en puissance.Le groupe propose donc 10 titres très courts et très efficaces, rarement au-delà des 3 minutes, pour une efficacité maximum. Tout n'est bien sur pas parfait, le groupe se répétant un peu sur la fin du disque, mais c'est une belle entrée en matière que l'on conseillera aux fans du genre, qui ne devraient pas être déçus de cette découverte. © Noise
 
Truemetal (ITALY) Dopo dieci lunghi anni di gavetta nel panorama underground del nord Italia, anche i parmensi Listeria arrivanoaldebut. Esordio più che meritato perché Again, il demo del 2003, aveva lasciato intendere quanto questa band avesse tutte le potenzialità per tentare di esprimersi su di un full vero e proprio.Il pimo passo è decisamente dei migliori, con una ottima Like Alì che sprizza energia e vecchi stilemi da tutti i pori, con chitarre mai troppo addomesticate e un massacro ritmico dalla grande intensità. Nella successiva Wolf over 3D, annunciata da un ululato, la band piega verso lidi meno classici, soprattutto per via di linee vocali fin troppo educate, che non riescono a graffiare come sul brano d'apertura. Si torna a pestare duro con Swim in the Mud, che mischia la foga dei Saxon più vivaci a vocals quasi candlemassiane, connubio che ritroviamo anche in anche altri brani di questo Full of Fire, come Don't Believe o la britannica Shadow. È proprio la scuola inglese a fornire le fondamenta di quasi tutti i brani dei Listeria, struttura sulla quale si vanno a incastrare, talvolta più, talvolta meno, influenze hard rock e power US alla Armored Saint. Su Emily escono i tratti ritmici più complessi di tutto il lotto, pronti comunque a ritornare a
cavalcare quadratamene e selvaggiamente nell'aggressiva Little Star (che si apre con un riffing di batteria alla 'Little Big Horn' dei Running Wild, per intenderci), mente le asce continuano a restare fedeli all'intransigenza ottantiana. Delight è un altro proiettile di speed vecchio stampo, mentre, come annuncia il jingle anacronistico di inizio brano, con Action ci troviamo a fronteggiare un vero "rock'n'roll party": sirene e chitarre si incrociano in una prima parte elettrizzante per poi placarsi in uno svolgimento più blando. Fortunatamente, dopo la parte centrale, sono le chitarre di Ciano e Gigio a tornare in cattedra, supportate da una sezione ritmica martellante e pronte a esplodere nel pezzo migliore del lotto, Rock is My DJ. Questo episodio conclusivo mette in gioco tutta l'attitudine dei Listeria in un inno veloce e trascinante in nome del rock'n'roll, campo in cui già i (quasi) vicini di casa Rain hanno mostrato doti davvero notevoli. Le chitarre scalpitano, scorazzano e trainano il pezzo in maniera energica, facendone una scheggia devastante in proiezione live e quanto di più convincente si possa sentire su tutto il lavoro.A dettare le sorti di questo primo album targato Listeria sono senza alcuna ombra di dubbio le chitarre, vera e propria essenza della musica della band emiliana. Sono loro a impartire le dinamiche a condurre i brani e, più di ogni altra cosa, a caratterizzarli. A sostenere tanto impeto ed esuberanza c'è una sezione ritmica fitta e incalzante, mentre dietro il microfono troviamo la voce di Witto, forse non sempre carismatica al top nelle parti più veraci e tirate, ma brava a saltare da John Bush fino a qualche passaggio basso sullo stile di Messiah Marcolin.Full of Fire è un disco ancorato indiscutibilmente a canoni di una ventina di anni or sono ma anche una prova di grande vitalità: pezzi brevi, veloci e fondamentalmente semplici, perfetti per un assalto sonoro diretto e vivace in nome di tempi passati, fanno di questo debut un boccone davvero ghiotto per i nostalgici. Vampire Magazine (NETHERLANDS)Even though Listeria has been releasing demos and promos since 1996, it took them eight long years to get the opportunity to release an “entire” studio album. I say entire this way since “Full of Fire” looks on the outside like a full album, but only lasts half an hour. But what a half an hour it is....Listeria probably couldn’t have chosen a better name for their debut album, because it truly shows that the band is full of fire. Immediately from the very first second that the first song kicks in, it grabs you by the throat and doesn’t release you till the fade out at the end. On “Full of Fire” we are being served some raw and intense hard-hitting Heavy Metal / Hard Rock in the true late 70’s – early 80’s style, that I love so very much. In the true vein of this era, the songs all have a very strong foundation and are therefore feature a strong build-up without any illogical parts. I however did get the feeling that songs were supposed to be longer but they were cut for some reason. It might not be the most original sound to ever be recorded but it is brought with so much intensity and energy that it overshadows this fact and I truly wonder how these guys will sound when they get on stage. Vocalist Vittorio Scotti does a superb job with keeping up with the fast pace without making mistakes our sounding out of place. I think that his voice might have been mixed a bit more prominently though, since it often seems to snow under the thunderous guitar riffs. I do have to mention the length of the album once again, since 30 minutes just isn’t long enough for an entire album, especially not for this kind of fast-paced music that is perfectly suited for longer songs. Another small thing that I found irritating after a few songs, is that every song features a sample at the beginning, taking away continuity between the tracks. From out of nowhere Listeria comes and slams you in the face with their furious rock, leaving a pleasant mark that makes you sing their songs all day long. It’s just too bad that the album only lasts for half an hour by. Matthieu
 

Heavy Metal Resourse (CANADA)I love bands that are over the top. The Italian metal band Listeria is one of those bands. This band embraces everything that metal is. After all, metal is all about excess and there is plenty of that on this album. I'm not saying that they are really in excess like Raven is, just that there is enough flash to suggest that they have been around a while, maybe long enough to have been a pert of the early 90's metal generation. Yep, it's true. Anyway, this album is alot of fun to listen to. The only thing I could find wrong with it was that it was a bit on the short side. There are 10 tracks total on the album. I like the little snippets used on the album such as the 'Outer Limits' soundbytes at the beginning of the track 'Like Ali'. Adds a touch of cool to the tune. It just stays cool from there. Tracks such as 'Swim in the Mud', 'Emily', and 'Don't Believe' don't let up a bit in the tempo. There arev also big choruses in alot of this music. The band sounds tight enough to have been around as long as they have been. What surprises me is that they haven't broken into a wider audience, well...maybe the audiences here in the States anyway. The music is definitely wild enough and I'm sure the band puts on a hell of a show, so lets have it man! Other tracks that caught my attention included 'Wolf Over 3D', 'Action', and the bombastic closer 'Rock is my DJ'. There is enough smoking guitar on that latter track to fill any appetite. Very cool.

Overall

This album could make alot of traditional metal fans happy although this album is a bit more flashy than your typical mettalic type of music. It get fast at times, but not to the point of thrash. It mellows here and there, but not to the point of calling it hard rock. It's metal and it's pretty damn tasty! Good album!by Dave Palmer
   
 
Hakamaka (JAPAN)Italian-based powerful metal band's first release from Lion Music. I think this might be the first time to check out sort of 80's oriented power metal sounds from Italians. To me, I recognize that Italy is the country where offers mostly prog metal, symphonic metal, and prog rock bands in general. Of course, there are tons of power metal and melodic rock bands as well. Strangely, probably this is my first encounter to hear Italian band playing fully American powerful metal style music like Listeria. Stylistically, Listeria reminds me of a bit of Armored Saint. Indeed, they are obviously good at performing solid and straight-forward energetic power metal unlike other Italian contemporaries. The music of Listeria definately appeals to the fans of American power metal music influenced by 80s. There are no decorations and frills, just performing really strong powerful metal entirely within 30 to 40 minutes. If they added more complexity and intricacies rather than just straight-forwardness, then I'd have enjoyed more. Overall, if you like strong-style powerful metal without keyboards and symphonic elements, then you would enjoy this one so much. by Pilgrim Monk
   
 

Tempi Duri (ITALY)Ed Eccolo finalmente il nuovissimo cd dei Listeria storica band italica che con questo disco si confermano come uno dei migliori act che solo noi possiamo vantarci di avere. Gli emiliani Listeria giungono così al tanto sospirato cd d’esordio e lo fanno nel modo più rumoroso possibile,loro appartengo a quella scena metal che si rifai gruppi classici del genere,ovverosia Saxon Motorhead in primis senza trascurare alcune cose dei Deep Purple e degli Ironmaiden della prima ora il tutto rivisto in chiave moderna con il generoso guitar sound di cui la band ne ha fatto la propria ragione di vita. Il disco scorre assai piacevolmente durante l’ascolto e si arriva a metà del cd senza che quasi te ne accorgi con il brano “Shadow” brano dalla forte impronta hard ma con un occhio di riguardo verso la melodia,ecco direi che è proprio la forza di questo ottimo gruppo grandi chitarre e grandi melodie mai banali ma che anzi rafforzano ancora di più lo sforzo produttivo che qui è davvero notevole,infatti non sembra nemmeno di ascoltare un gruppo italiano e sono convinto che loro sapranno fare bene in Europa e nel resto del mondo. Andando avanti nell’ascolto ci si rende di come la band non abbia voluto cedere a facili compromessi inserendo magari delle ballads sdolcinate che non avrebbero fatto altro che rompere la grande tensione emotiva che viene fuori e che travolge tutto ciò che si trova nel suo percorso. Alcuni dei brani che fanno parte di “Full Of fire”sono già stati proposti in altre occasioni come ad esempio la conclusiva “rock is my dj”e “Don’t Believe”che sono state riregistrate per l’occasione in questa veste nuova rendendo questi brani due degli episodi migliori dell’intero album. Friday13thmetal Magazine (UK)Newly signed to Finish label Lion Music is, a label who seem to be signing some interesting vocal groups of recent. Hailing from Italy, this band are one of the few bands to come out of Italy that are rather interesting and sound somewhat different from the majority of bands that come out of that country. I'm not sure who they actually come close too, as there are a few influences in their music. All I can say is that they come across between Hard Metal, Prog and sometime Power Metal, with of course some strange vocals. I'm sure this CD will appeal to fans of the 80's and 90's, I think somewhat they remind me of Raven in places, and some other influences who I really cant put my finger on right now. The band have some interesting ideas, and at time the music is powerful, with plenty of double bass drumming, which makes this more enjoyable. I guess there could be some Motorhead in this album as well as Exciter. It's an odd album that I'm sure will grow on you once you have heard it a couple of times. Production is well presented and comes with 10 trax of interesting metal music with some interesting guitar solos that any guitarist would appreciate. Check out: Like Ali, Swim in the mud, Wolf Over 3D, Emily, Shadow, Rock Is My DJ. Not bad release, interesting if you fancy something different for a change, if so give this a spin!!by. Hardrock 80.com (FRANCE)Listeria est un quintette italien qui a vu le jour au milieu des 90's. Depuis sa création, ce groupe a mis du temps avant de se stabiliser, certains changements de line-up étant intervenus. Listeria s'est quand même aguerri en tournant et en assurant la première partie de MSG, Dokken, Edguy, notamment. Listeria doit patienter jusqu'en 2005 pour sortir enfin son premier album "Full of fire" via le label finlandais Lion Music. Musicalment, Listeria évolue dans les sphères du heavy metal. Oui, mais attention: il ne s'agit pas làd'un groupe de heavy metal comme tant d'autres. Listeria s'est en effet efforcé d'affirmer sa personnalité. A l'écoute de "Full of fire", on peut décrire la musique de ce quintette comme un carrefour d'influences allant de Armored Saint au heavy metal tel que le pratiquaient Judas Priest et Saxon à la fin des 70's/début des 80's, en passant par le hard rock de la première moitié des 80's, voire le côté énergique de Pantera. Si "Full of fire" ne va pas pour autant changer la face du heavy metal, il convient de signaler que Listeria se démarque de ses collègues en ayant sorti un album court, direct(moins de 31 minutes), brut et sans concession. "Like Ali" démarre en fanfare, appuyé par une rythmique puissante et se distingue par un final plus 70's. La suite montre que si Listeria balance la sauce, il ne néglige pas pour autant l'aspect mélodique, comme le démntrent "Wolf over 3D", plus nettement oreinté hard rock, et "Shadow", mettant l'accent sur la complémentarité des 2 guitaristes. C'est surtout dans le genre "le morceau démarre au quart de tour" que le quintette italien se fait le le plus remarquer. Il suffit de poser une oreille sur l'infernal "Swim in the mud", à mi-chemin entre hard rock et heavy metal(et doté d'un refrain catchy), "Emily" et ses riffs dévastateurs, "Don't believe" qui a tout d'un titre fédérateur, ou encore le spéédé et déjanté "Rock is my DJ". Dans un autre registre, le puissant "Little star", limite furibard, vaut aussi le detour. Ceci dit, je ne mettrai pas la note maximale à cet album, ausis bon soit-il. Pourquoi ? Parce qu'on y décèle quelques imperfections à droite et à gauche et qu'un titre tel que "Delight" semble bien faiblard par rapport au reste de l'album. D'autre part, si le groupe italien parvient à mieux canaliser sa fougue et à composer 2 ou 3 titres plus travaillés, il risque de faire mal. Ce premier effort discographique de Listeria est très encourageant pour l'avenir, d'autant que les refrains et les choeurs regorgent de belles trouvailles. Ce quintette italien a eu le mérite de ramener de la spontanéité et un peu d'urgence dans le heavy metal, choses qui manquaient singulièrement au genre depuis quelques années. Il y a chez ce combo une attitude rock n'roll, une certaine fraicheur qu'on n'osait plus retrouver dans le heavy. Espérons pour Listeria que le meilleur reste à venir... Il lui faudra pour cela perseverer et trouver son public. En effet, le groupe italien risque d'être considéré comme trop heavy pour les fans de hard rock, trop rock pour les fans de heavy metal. Malgré tout, "Full of fire" est pour moi l'un des meilleurs albums de heavy metal parus ces 5 dernières années et, à l'instar de Audiovision, peut être considéré comme un solide espoir de la scène heavy. Metallus.it (ITALY) The Power Of Rock’n’roll!
Facile riassumere la musica che propongono i nostrani Listeria, band davvero incredibile, animata dallo stesso fuoco che si lascia ammirare nel titolo e nella copertina di questo debutto. Hard rock, heavy classico e power metal confluiscono in dieci tracce che in poco più di mezz’ora dicono tutto quello che c’è da dire, senza fronzoli o eccessivi ricami. Si comincia subito con un riff da manuale e una strofa accattivante, arrivano la spinta dei cori e la potenza degli assoli, il tutto ben sottolineato da una produzione grezza ed efficacissima. In ‘Wolf Over 3 D’ sembra di ascoltare un mix di Saxon, Judas, Accept e rock americano (qualcuno si ricorda i Leatherwolf?), ma per quanto possiamo evidenziare le influenze riscontrabile non riusciremmo a farvi comprendere come i Listeria riescano a suonare questa musica in modo personale, trovando il modo di far emergere sfaccettature diverse ad ogni traccia.
Altro esempio è ‘Swim In The Mud’ in cui sembra di ascoltare il sentimento dell’hard americano più duro, ma suonato in modo quadrato e vigoroso, come se ad eseguirlo fosse una band tedesca della prima ondata power metal.
Ennesimo punto di forza di un gruppo sempre più sorprendente sono poi i passaggi strumentali ricchi di melodia e la miscela letale di assoli in fuga e ritmiche trascinanti, ascoltare a proposito ‘Shadow’, un brano che mi ha ricordato l’heavy di casa nostra degli anni ottanta (primi Sabotage ad esempio). Ma nemmeno cercando con la lente di ingrandimento riuscirete a trovare punti deboli in un lavoro che sacrifica raffinatezza e lungaggini in favore di un’urgenza espressiva essenziale eppure mai banale. Se amate l’hard & heavy più sanguigno e genuino non potete farvi sfuggire un’uscita come questa.by.Riccardo Manazza
 
 
Detritus - USA I knew absolutely nothing about this band (and in fact did not even know that they existed) until this CD arrived in my mailbox. I have to give them props for providing me with one of the (unintentionally) funniest bio/press sheets that I've read in a while... It was ALMOST written in English (if you catch my drift) and therefore it was not much help to me in writing this review. (I looked up the band's name in the dictionary, by the way, and found out that "Listeria" is a form of bacteria that causes food poisoning. Isn't that lovely? Was this name inspired by a bad dinner experience? "Hey guys, let's name our band after a disease! It worked for Anthrax!") About all I got from the bio sheet was that Listeria hails from Italy, so of course I immediately thought, "Oh goody; more epic-length 'Lord Of The Rings' drivel." It only took one spin through track #1, the oddly-titled "Like Ali," to prove me completely wrong, as Listeria turned out to be a surprisingly hyperactive power/speed metal band. DAMN these guys sound crazy! Their label's Web site points to the NWOBHM as a reference point, which I can't really argue with; in fact, I'd wager that these guys are probably big Raven fans. They don't actually sound much like Raven, (although Vittorio Scotti occasionally unleashes a John Gallagher-style squeal) but they definitely seem to share the same "Get in, cause as much damage as possible, and get out as quickly as you can" mind-set as those beloved Geordies. FULL OF FIRE crams together 10 tracks in just over a half hour, so it's obvious that they're not here to screw around! Sound-wise I'd have to say that this band is a high octane cocktail of classic late '80s arena metal (think Skid Row, Dokken, and even early Gamma Ray; much of FULL OF FIRE reminds me of Gamma Ray's earlier "party" oriented songs like "Rich And Famous" and "Free Time"), played convincingly and with tons (and I do mean TONS) of energy. The band describes their sound as "shock heavy," which is pretty damn accurate. Hell, I felt tired after just listening to this CD, so I can only imagine what it must've been like to perform it! I wish I had a lyric sheet though, because some of these song titles are just plain weird, such as "Wolf Over 3-D" (??), the aforementioned "Like Ali," and the album closing "Rock Is My DJ," so I'd love to know what the hell they're actually singing about! Though it probably won't burn up sales charts on this side of the ocean, FULL OF FIRE is a fun, goofy listen (the sound bites that open several songs are hilarious) that certainly lives up to its title, and the only major fault I have with it is its brevity; just as you're starting to get into this album, it's already over. Maybe they should include a few more songs (or at least longer ones) on their next release, it would beef up the skimpy running time and give us more to chew on. Maximum Rock Magazine (ROMANIA) Chiar daca ma asteptam ca acest album sa fie mult mai instrumental, tinând cont de casa de discuri unde a aparut acest material, nu pot spune ca ceea ce am gasit pe acest album nu m-a încântat. Dupa un into foarte scurt esti lovit puternic de o gramara de riff-uri si de o voce dementiala (Witto fiind mare amator de Ozzi, Maiden sau Aerosmith), foarte bine dozata pentru acest gen muzical. Italienii de la Listeria au scos A-sul din mâneca cu acest album si au reusit sa obtina punctaj maxim la majoritatea publicatiilor importante din Europa ceea ce spune foarte multe. Foarte bine produs, cu un sound excelent si o dinamica a pieselor de invidiat, "The Voyager Through The Void" nu e materialul care sa revolutioneze, dar e acela care te poate umple de adrenalina. Verorock (ITALY)Attivi ormai da due lustri, i parmensi Listeria debuttano finalmente sulla Lion Music, dopo che nel 2003, il demo "Again" aveva impressionato positivamente fans e critici. Ecco qua: due anni dopo i nostri danno alla luce questo "Full Of Fire", che sinceramente non credevo potesse essere così bello. Tutto è pressochè perfetto: produzione, capacità individuali, songwriting danno l'impressione di essere state curati nei minimi particolari, con un risultato veramente sorprendente. Il power/heavy immediato e spesso velocissimo mescolato a passaggi old in stile Motorhead, proposto dai cinque emiliani è senza dubbio molto assimilabile, perfettamente suonato e che va poco per il sottile. Riffs graffianti e assoli pregevoli e precisi fanno da cornice ad una prestazione vocale eccellente. Da non trascurare anche il lavoro svolto da Gian dietro le pelli. Cosa strana, che poche volte si ha l'occasione di notare, è la durata dei brani, tutti dai due minuti e mezzo ai tre poco più. Non che sia un difetto, vista la qualità, ma sicuramnete inusuale.Concludo dicendo che sono rimasto piacevolmente colpito da questo disco e spero che i Listeria, nel futuro, possano stupirci di nuovo. Prognaut (USA)“Listeria” is a metal band from Italy and would have been formed about 10 years ago. They opened shows such as “Iron Savior” and “Edguy” in the end of the nineties and recorded some demo tapes between 1995 and 1998. At that moment (1998), they become more and more known. I don’t really know how I would categorize their band - which style of metal they play exactly – but they describe it themselves as being “shock heavy”. However, their musical influences are excellent !!! Goes from Iron Maiden, till Helloween, Ozzy and Black Sabbath, passing through Cinderella, Yngwie Malmsteem and Dream Theater. Lots of great bands. “Full of Fire” has 10 tracks and has a length of 30 minutes (yes, indeed, it pass VERY FAST !!!).The album is quite short, but very good all in all ! All the songs are quite heavy, strong, fast – excellent guitars and solos !!!!! – and I simply love the fast rhythm of the melodies. The sound and the music is absolutely energetic, entertaining…and must be very cool “live”. Perfect for “head-bangers”, I would not say that it’s aggressive music, but more powerful…without being really power, I don’t know if you understand what I mean. It reminds me a little of the hard rock 80’s music but mixed with the metal in the vein of Helloween and Maiden. It’s really good, but I can’t explain with words how it really sounds like. The singer has powerful vocals too, which sounds perfect with their music. I’d say that “Rock is My DJ” is the best song on the album…but really, all of them are worth to be listened and you can be sure that you won’t fall asleep with such an album, haha ! It’s a high quality album. The drummer is quite awesome too !!!I basically think they are original – because it’s very difficult to identify them to an other specific band – and they have their own style, which you only can discover and understand if you listen to it by yourselves. Rock-impressions (ITALY) E’ sempre un piacere imbattersi in un gruppo italiano, non tanto per campanilismo, ma in generale si ha a che fare con gente che mette passione e fantasia, quella tipicamente mediterranea. Particolare anche la proposta sonora, visti i tempi moderni, oggi 2006 è raro ascoltare musica che si ispira a gruppi come gli Armored Saint. Metal classico dunque ma non proprio scontato, il quintetto è in auge dagli anni ’90 e di esperienza sulle spalle ne ha accumulala abbastanza.
La formazione è la seguente: Vittorio Scotti (Voce), Luciano Toscani (Chitarra), Pierluigi Boschi (Chitarra), Angelo Di Gennaro (Basso) e Giancarlo Noto (Batteria). Tutta la dinamicità sonora dei Listeria si presenta sin dall’iniziale “Like Ali” e Witto (Scotti) si cimenta in una prova sopra le righe, così come quella della band. A tratti ci sono richiami agli Iron Maiden, ma sono schegge impazzite che si infilzano nelle nostre orecchie.Il lupo di “Wolf Over 3D” ci aggredisce e riporta alla mente molto dell’Heavy Metal passato, come in un deja vu. La sezione ritmica picchia duro anche in “Swim In The Mud”, le dita scorrono veloci sul manico della chitarra, i Saxon insegnano. “Emily” prosegue micidiale il lavoro devastante intrapreso con qualche variante, un ritmo a tratti spezzato ed un assolo di chitarra godibilissimo. Cori accompagnano “Shadow”, un grido di guerra vero e proprio. E’ ora il turno della contagiosa “Don’t Belive”, classico Heavy Metal di vecchia scuola, mai traditore. Cosa dire di “Little Star”? Oramai siamo entrati con tutti e due i piedi nel mondo dei Listeria, nulla di trascendentale, intendiamoci, ma sicuramente puro e libero dai stilemi che tristemente ci accompagnano migliaia di volte nei nuovi ascolti di questi ultimi periodi.
Si prosegue con “Delight”, sunto di un intera era sonora. “Action” prosegue lo sgretolamento ai padiglioni, duro e diretto come un pugno per poi terminare con “Rock Is My DJ”, sigillo metallico di “Full Of Fire”.Avete voglia di sudare? Metallian (CANADA)It has been a long while since an over-the-top and flashy album like Full Of Fire (or Full Of Fore according to the label’s biography) fell into my lap. This is what metal was supposed to be: fun, cocky and bursting with guitars. This album is not grabbing me because the first song’s title is Like Ali (lyrics likely about vision divine), but because it rocks hard and reminds people that heavy metal was meant to scream out loud, solo like crazy and riff as if mad. The aforementioned opener can best be described as a heavy metal Anthrax. The vocals are John Bush junior’s. As a matter of fact, Listeria warrants comparisons to bands like Armored Saint, France’s Warning and the harder LA bands of the ‘80s. This is heavy metal galore! The album remains remarkable also because it is busy, layered and so guitar-oriented that it transplants one to 1985. Another good analogy is Van Halen from the David Lee Roth era given the vocals, backing chants and the guitars of course. Shadow has a NWOBHM riff, while Little Star is fast and upbeat with tight and wailing guitars. The singer remains dexterous the whole time and the lyrics manage to have some fun. Check out the album’s closer Rock Is My DJ for instance. The only criticism one can level at Listeria is the drumming which is out of whack sometimes and tends to shred the tunes to pieces. Metalwave ( ITALY)Li aspettavamo al varo della prova su lunga distanza e alla fine le nostre attese sono state ricompensate. A due anni dall’ottimo demo “Again”, i parmigiani Listeria tornano sulle scene forti di un contratto con la label finlandese Lion Music, che annovera nel suo rooster anche i laziali Moonlight Comedy (fra gli altri), e di un disco come “Full Of Fire” che sprizza heavy-metal da tutti i pori! Pensate, ci sono voluti undici anni di dura gavetta prima che i nostri potessero riuscire ad arrivare al traguardo del debut-album, ma dopo tanto peregrinare nell’underground le mille fatiche di questi ragazzi sono state ricompensate da un lavoro che si candida in pieno a rinvigorire i fasti della tradizione hard ‘n heavy non solo italiana, ma anche mondiale. Di fatto quello del quintetto emiliano è un viaggio a ritroso nel tempo, nell’era dei riff di chitarra schiacciasassi e nelle vorticose ritmiche che scatenavano furiosi headbangin’ tra i metal-kids di vent’anni fa. E sembra proprio di assaporare un po’ di quel metal caro ai Saxon di Biff Byford o alla scena N.W.O.B.H.M. durante l’ascolto delle dieci tracce che compongono questo cd. Niente di sbalorditivo o di particolarmente originale, ma per chi ha amato un’epoca come gli anni ’80 ed i gruppi che l’hanno rappresentata, “Full Of Fire” rappresenterà un vero e proprio toccasana. Affidato alle cure degli Elfo studios di Piacenza, il lavoro si avvale di un’eccellente produzione, che ben mette in risalto le granitiche sonorità della band emiliana. E’ “Like Alì” ad aprirci le porte al mondo dei Listeria, travolgenti come un rullo compressore fin dai primi secondi dell’album. L’opening-track è uno di quei pezzi che lascia il segno già dalle sue note d’introduzione e di certo non farà mancare la sua energia nemmeno in sede live. Di sicuro poi c’è il fatto che, se un disco debba causare macerie ai timpani già dal suo incipit, neanche lungo l’ascolto delle tracce successive dormiremo sogni tranquilli, vista l’inaudita potenza iniziale. Ed infatti uscire indenni da songs quali “Wolf Over 3D”, “Swim In The Mud”, “Emily”, “Little Star” o la conclusiva (e credo autentico urlo di guerra dei nostri) “Rock Is My DJ” è impresa davvero ardua anche per le orecchie dei più intransigenti. Ma sono proprio queste le finalità del combo capitanato da Pierluigi "Gigio" Boschi e Luciano "Ciano" Toscani, chitarristi e vera spina dorsale di una band di cui hanno narrato le gesta fin dalle origini: rompere le ossa a suon di heavy-metal attraverso una musica senza fronzoli, senza alcun compromesso e senza un attimo di respiro. Obiettivo pienamente raggiunto con una release di poco più di trenta minuti: scusate se è poco. Per concludere, cosa dire di più se non “comprate assolutamente questo disco!”? Non penso serva aggiungere altro per promuovere a pieni voti un album come “Full Of Fire”, lavoro di una band che auguriamo possa raggiungere sempre più alti traguardi nel suo futuro. Negative (ITALY)Che botta di vita ‘sti Listeria! Perché? Per una semplice serie di ragioni: una rara, quanto benvenuta, fun-attitude; una certa propensione alla “sintesi”, quando se non fai canzoni di venti minuti, sembra che non sai suonare! E dulcis in fundo, una certa libertà compositiva, unita ad una spiccata sensibilità melodica. L’opener “Like Alì”, con il suo dinamico riffing hard’n’heavy, e con le sue chitarre, letteralmente straripanti sia in sede ritmica, che solista, dimostra in tre minuti e mezzo come si possa donare forti emozioni senza annoiare! Mentre un ululato apre la bella “Wolf Over 3D”, tirata per la giacchetta ora da certo metal made in U.S.A., ora da certa robusta NWOBHM; stupenda poi “Shadow”, con quell’anima melodica cara a certi Dokken, che ti costringe a scuotere il capo e a battere il piedino! La brevissima “Delight” parla nientemeno che il sacro verbo degli Accept e dei Priest: una sola parola…heavy metal! “Action” invece è tostissimo heavy’n’roll, una sorta di orgia tra Motley Crue, Motorhead e certe vocals “sopra le righe” alla Faith No More! La conclusiva “Rock Is My DJ” chiude in bellezza, con il suo anfetaminico incedere Maiden, figlio anche dell’athletic-metal di certi Raven, un album intenso, urticante, urgente, incapace di qualsiasi pallosa introspezione, degno in tutto e per tutto dello spirito che impregnava i dischi di una ventina d’anni fa!     Metal-observer (GERMANY - CANADA)LISTERIA, named after bacteria that cause food poisoning, comes to us from Italy, but you would never know it by listening to the band’s debut, “Full Of Fire”. The vocals show none of the typical strong Italian accent and the band is playing a style of traditional-Heavy Metal that is very far removed the symphonic Power Metal that Italy has become known for. Instead, LISTERIA should appeal to fans of the ’80s German and American Metal scenes. Bands that come to mind when listening to “Full Of Fire” include: ACCEPT, LIZZY BORDEN, old RAGE, ARMOURED SAINT and LIEGE LORD. Add to that a helping of Rock ‘n’ Roll attitude/swagger and you’ll have a pretty good idea of LISTERIA’s sound. Clocking in at just over 30-minutes, “Full Of Fire” is rather short. But the short playing time is in the band’s favor, as it allows LISTERIA to go full throttle the whole way through. If this were much longer, some of its effectiveness would have been lost. During the 30-minute stomp, LISTERIA crank out some real bangers, especially in the second half with “Don’t Believe”, “Delight”, “Action” and “Rock Is My DJ”. For a debut, “Full Of Fire” is a strong effort that should easily find favor with fans of ’80s Heavy Metal. Metalmyths (ITALY)I Listeria sono in giro dai primi anni 90 e sebbene siano giunti sono nel 2005 a questo primo album, hanno all’attivo partecipazioni a eventi con nomi del calibro di Dokken e MSG, gruppi storici della scena Hard ‘n Heavy internazionale. Il sound di questa band è impressionantemente diretto, granitico e potente, raramente un pezzo oltrepassa i tre minuti impedendo assolutamente ogni forma di noia o caduta di tensione. L’offerta della band è definita dalla stessa un Heavy Metal d’intenzione power anni 80, io aggiungerei ‘motorizzato’ per la modernità del sound e un certo uso di cori ed effetti abbastanza nuovo rispetto agli acts tradizionali ma che comunque non snatura l’impronta classica della band. Andando nello specifico, dato che la band stessa si definisce ispirata dagli Armored Saint, prenderei come riferimento gli Armored più ‘nuovi’ di Symbol of Salvation a cui i Listeria si avvicinano molto anche nel cantato. L’attitudine decisamente rock’n roll senza troppi fronzoli invece me li fa accumunare per la freschezza del sound a un'altra band dell’Emilia Romagna che milita nell’underground da oltre venti anni: i Rain. Entrando nello specifico del disco spicca la favolosa Emily, il riffing assassino di Little Star e Delight e , a mio avviso, Action, pezzo dal ritornello particolare che si ficca subito in testa, oltre all’anthem del lotto, la conclusiva Rock is my DJ.
Nel complesso la band offre dell’ottimo Hard’n’Heavy moderno ma di sicura presa, adatto a tutti i Rock’n Roll addicted, che grazie a dio, non cessano ne cesseranno di esistere. Una nota la riservo al management estremamente professionale nella cura di promozione e distribuzione.
  
       
   
Hardsounds (ITALY)Dopo una florida attività iniziata nei primi anni novanta (comprendente alcuni concerti al finaco di nomi come Ten Years After e Michael Shenker Group), i nostrani Listeria giungono finalmente alla pubblicazione del loro primo album ufficiale. L’aspetto più pregevole del gruppo è la capacità di traslare il classico hard ‘n’ heavy ottantiano nei nostri tempi senza cadere nello scontato, ma anzi, seguendo un criterio di evoluzione naturale e mai troppo forzata. Full Of Fire è un concentrato di heavy metal molto energico, che punta su canzoni generalmente brevi e dinamiche, evitando qualunque tipo di ridondanza. Si sente sempre l’influenza di Judas Priest, Iron Maiden e in generale di tutta la Nwobhm più tosta, ma ma anche e soprattutto del metallo americano di Armored Saint e Savatage. Oltre alle buone capacità tecniche e al discreto songwriting spicca una produzione eccelsa che, seppure decisamente moderna, non rinuncia affatto alla genuina pesantezza del vecchio metallo degli ottanta.Un ottimo esempio di come si possa suonare ancora puro hevy metal senza cadere nel calderone del “già sentito”. Listeria framför en ganska traditionell hårdrock medrötterna i den heavy metal som såg dagens ljus i slutet av 80-talet.Dock har de utvecklat denna genre en aning & räds inte att plocka in "modernare" inslag, vilket är till deras fördel.Musikaliskt är det med beröm godkänt de öser fram plattans tio spår, sköna melodier & ett trumspel som heter duga.För alla riktiga hårdrockare som kan sin läxa torde ett ex av "Full of fire" inte skämmas för sig i skivbacken. Metalitalia (ITALY)L'esordio dei parmensi Listeria, signore e signori, è di quelli che lasciano il segno: un segno che sembra contrassegnato principalmente dalla parola 'potenza', tanto è strabordante l'energia che trasuda da tutte e dieci le track di questo "Full Of Fire". Ma andiamo con ordine: sottoposti all'attenzione di critica e pubblico grazie all'ottimo demo "Again" appena un paio d'anni fa, dopo gli ottimi riscontri i cinque ragazzi si sono procurati un buon contratto con la Lion Music (a dir la verità cosa un po' inusuale, visto il genere trattato dalla band e quello di cui invece si occupa la label), che ha permesso loro la produzione di questo primo full-length, disco che, lo dicevamo, si presenta sotto la veste di un panzer heavy metal che guarda indietro con sapienza, rivisitando, attualizzando e vitaminizzando il suono tipicamente NWOBHM dei Saxon e dei Judas Priest di primi anni '80, inserendo qua e là robuste iniezioni di sanguigno hard rock (vedi l'anthem finale "Rock Is My DJ") e di power metal americano intelligente ("Shadow", dove fanno capolino i Sanctuary). Assolutamente devastante si rivela poi il trittico d'apertura formato da "Like Alì", "Wolf Over 3d" e "Swim In The Mud", probabilmente le canzoni più riuscite del disco, dove la band punta incredibilmente sull'acceleratore, riuscendo pienamente nell' intento di congiungere ottime melodie unendo le band storiche del genere a soluzioni, in fase ritmica, un po' più curate ed interessanti, che fanno ulteriormente guadagnare punti e sostanza a pezzi che già molto difficilmente strapperebbero sbadigli anche dopo tanti ascolti. Poco da aggiungere resta sulla produzione e sulle capacità tecniche del gruppo, ottima la prima (ed anche qui rimaniamo in pieno nel segno della potenza!) e sicuramente buone le seconde (in particolare un plauso al lavoro svolto da Gian dietro le pelli!). Tirando le somme, il sottoscritto sente di poter affermare che, se l'heavy metal può avere davvero futuro (senza morire assieme ai 'dinosauri' storici ai quali probabilmente non rimane ancora molto da vivere), questo è affidato proprio sulle spalle di gruppi come i nostrani Listeria... insomma, un vanto per il nostro Bel Paese! Holymetal (ITALY)Debutto discografico per i piacentini Listeria. La band si è formata nei primi anni ’90. Il primo vagito del gruppo arriva nel 1995 con la pubblicazione del primo demo Listeria. L’anno 1998 è un anno d’oro per il gruppo: dopo aver vinto il concorso europeo “Opening Band Contest” organizzato da Metal Hammer per supportare il tour italiano degli Iron Savior ed Edguy ed aver partecipato, con il brano “Infernal Voice”, alla compilation “The Fridge”, pubblicata dall’etichetta indipendente “Sliver Music”, la band incide il suo secondo demo Something Mind. Dopo essersi lanciati in un’intensa attività live, nel 1999 registrano, insieme al registra Zad (noto per la sua collaborazione con il gruppo rap “Articolo 31), il primo video clip del brano “Swimming In The Mud”. Dopo aver partecipato, nel 2000, con il brano “Rock Is My D.J.”, alla compilation “Fuori Base Duemila” pubblicata dal locale Fuori Orario di Reggio Emilia ed aver subito l’abbandono del bassista Luca Simonini, sostituito dal talentuoso Hanjo, il gruppo dà alla luce, nel 2003, il promo “Again”, che frutta loro un contratto con la prestigiosa etichetta finlandese Lion Music che annovera nei suoi ranghi dei veri mostri sacri del rock mondiale come Don Airey (Raimbow, Deep Purple), Neil Murray (Whitesnake), Alex Masi, Tony Martin (Black Sabbath), Ritchie Kotzen (Mr. Big, Poison) e Mike Terrana (Rage). Forti del nuovo contratto la band si rinchiude in studio per incidere il cd che mi accingo a recensire. Anche se relativamente giovani, i Listeria propongono un sound che è un concentrato di melodia, energia e ritmo puro. Sin dalle prime note di “Like Alì”, brano il cui intro ricorda molto “Fast As A Shark” dei mitici Accept, “Wolf Over 3D”, il cui ululato iniziale mi ha riportato in mente il brano “Powerslave”, “Swin In The Mud”, una mazzata sonora di rara potenza, “Emily”, introdotta da uno splendido duello chitarra/batteria, “Shadow”, “Don’t Believe”, “Little Star” e “Rock Is My DJ”, brani caratterizzati da delle ritmiche spaccaossa che non danno tregua e da dei chorus accattivanti che entrano subito in testa e che sembrano scritti per essere urlati a squarciagola in sede live, “Delight”, introdotta da un devastante assolo di batteria che apre alla strada ai riff assassini generati dal resto del gruppo, “Action”, introdotta da uno speaker che sembra annunciare l’inizio di un match e che mi ha riportato in mente lo splendido brano “Get The Ring”, l’ascoltatore sarà travolto in un vortice di musica che è un’unione di New Wave Of British Heavy Metal e Power Metal melodico anni ’80 e ’90. non a caso uno dei gruppi che ha ispirato la band sono gli Armoured Saint. Completano il tutto gli ottimi riff generati dalle due asce del gruppo “Ciano” Toscani e “Gigio” Boschi che ci deliziano con dei deliranti e funambolici assoli, l’ottima sezione ritmica guidata dal basso di “Hanjo” Di Gennaro e da quelle macchine infernali che rispondono ai nome di “Alex” Groppi (che ha suonato la batteria nei pezzi “Lik Alì”, “Wolf Over 3D” e “Swim In The Mud” ed “Emily”) e “Gian” Noto. Ciò che mi ha particolarmente impressionato dei Listeria è la continua ricerca ricerca di un sound che, nonostante si ispiri molto ai mostri sacri del passato e del presente, riesce comunque ad evitare la semplice scopiazzatura degli stessi ed a rimanere personale grazie all’introduzione di alcuni elementi che contribuiscono a dare al tutto un senso di freschezza tipico del metal contemporaneo.Non a caso il gruppo ama definire il proprio stile “Shock Heavy”. I have a good strong feeling that LISTERIA is going to awaken a demon in the hearts of us ageing air guitarists of yesteryear forcing us to shake the mothballs out of our tattered acid washed jeans, bullet belts and rotting white hi tops to once again claim the throne that was rightfully ours. "Full of Fire" is not your average ma and pop metal band kids. This shit is going to rock your Walkman (Walkman: a transistorized miniature portable cassette tape player invented in 1979 that allowed people to carry their own choice of music with
them...for you 90's children) into sweet oblivion with it's full frontal guitar onslaught and metallic fury. This is a sound reminiscent of 80's thrashers LIEGE LORD coupled with maidenesque guitar runs and non stop
screaming leadwork that echoes in your brain like a ball-peen hammer on a diamondplate stairwell to hell. I was in full possession mode with this disc as it unmercifully made me listen to it's savagery twice in a row and beyond with an increase in volume each spin. Thanks a lot jackasses, I'm hooked. In fact, I think its safe to say that Listeria and I are..........well, we're going steady. Heavy-metal (ITALY)L’avventura musicale dei Listeria ha inizio nei primi anni novanta: dopo la registrazione di un demo tape autotitolato la band riceve moltissimi consensi da parte delle riviste specializzate del settore e ha l’onore, in seguito, di aprire gli show di Iron Savior ed Edguy. “Full of fire” rappresenta l’album di debutto di questa spettacolare band italiana e nessun titolo potrebbe essere maggiormente azzeccato per descrivere la musica presente all’interno di questo cd. Il sound dei Listeria fonde in maniera davvero buona l’hard rock e l’heavy metal di fine anni ottanta inizi novanta in una miscela esplosiva di musica che ci rapisce e ci tiene incollati davanti alla casse dello stereo per tutta la durata del disco. I riff di chitarra creati dalla coppia Toscani/Boschi sono piuttosto buoni e dannatamente incalzanti tanto che durante alcune canzoni ci si ritrova senza neanche accorgersene a far roteare la testa. E’ appunto il caso dell’iniziale “Like Alì” o della successiva “Wolf over 3 D” mentre “Emily” si svela come uno dei brani più potenti di tutto “Full of fire” con una doppia cassa assolutamente martellante e riff dirompenti che molto spesso lasciano spazio a momenti più cadenzati e melodici dove è proprio Vittorio Scotti, cantante del gruppo tricolore, ad essere il sovrano indiscusso della scena. L’ascolto dell’album è un continuo susseguirsi di canzoni azzeccate e con l’ascolto di “Shadow” torniamo indietro nel tempo, negli anni novanta, con un brano che non impiega davvero molto a imprigionare l’ascoltatore all’interno del suo vortice di melodia; ancora da citare sono la veloce “Action” che vede ancora una volta l’hard rock più duro e veloce farsi spazio tra le note degli strumenti dei cinque Listeria e la conclusiva “Rock is my DJ” mazzata sonora senza eguali con un Giancarlo Noto alla batteria in forma mirabile, capace di picchiare come un forsennato sulle pelli del suo strumento.Ce n’è voluto di tempo affinché la band potesse pubblicare il suo primo album, ma vi assicuro che il suo contenuto è molto esplosivo; sconsigliato vivamente l’ascolto ai deboli di cuore: i Listeria sono dirompenti e le loro canzoni hanno una carica che sicuramente dal vivo farà furore! La registrazione del disco è ottima, e questo giova ancora di più all’economia generale dei brani che escono tutti compatti e perfetti dalla casse dello stereo! Holyhour (ITALY)I Listeria sono un gruppo attivo ormai da parecchi anni, dato che affondano le loro origini nei primi anni novanta. Grazie all’esperienza e alla professionalità da sempre dimostrate, hanno raggiunto ottimi livelli esecutivi e hanno potuto partecipare a numerosi festival internazionali. Numerose sono state le loro esibizioni con nomi di spicco della musica internazionale, quali membri presenti e passati di band come Whitesnake, Dream Theatre, Deep Purple, Rainbow, Black Sabbath, Mr. Big, Rage e Accept. Scorrendo questa “mostruosa” lista di nomi si può capire che i Listeria prediligono il metal classico influenzato dal power metal, soprattutto dagli Armoured Saint, come si legge nella loro biografia. Nonostante i molti anni di attività, i Listeria si cimentano per la prima volta con un full-lenght proprio con questo Full of Fire, uscito nel 2005 per l’etichetta Lion Music.Ma vediamo nel dettaglio le tracce di questo album:LIKE ALI’: grande intro ad effetto per un album che si prospetta interessante. Da subito si nota la bravura di tutti i membri della band che sono: Vittorio Scotti alla voce, Luciano Toscani alla chitarra solista e ritmica, Pierluigi Boschi alla chitarra ritmica, Angelo Di Gennaro al basso e Giancarlo Noto alla batteria nelle tracce: Shadow, Don’t believe, Little star, Delight, Action e Rock is my DJ. Per i restanti brani, cioè la stessa Like Alì, Wolf over 3D, Swim in the mud e Emily, l’impianto percussivo è affidato ad Alessio Goppi.WOLF OVER 3D: l’album procede nel migliore dei modi con questa canzone che non è altro se non una sferzata di energia e potenza! In alcuni tratti mi ricorda “You could be mine”, per il riff accattivante e facilmente assimilabile, il tutto con un bel po’ di metal in più!SWIM IN THE MUD: anche in questa traccia la potenza è devastante. Ci sono echi dei maestri Iron Maiden, in quelle loro cavalcate epiche che ti lasciano senza fiato. Si badi bene, questi riferimenti ai “mostri sacri” del genere, non stanno a significare che i Listeria copino spudoratamente modelli già consolidati da tempo, anzi, la loro proposta è interessante perché unisce più generi differenti, riuscendo a creare un amalgama particolare.EMILY: il muro sonoro contro il quale andiamo a sbattere è fortissimo, dato che la traccia comincia con un devastante assolo di percussioni. Con questo cd dei Listeria sparato al massimo volume sembra di sfrecciare su un treno in corsa, o di sfilare su una strada a bordo di una moto potentissima!SHADOW: devo assolutamente far notare che il tasso tecnico di questi musicisti è veramente elevato! La sezione ritmica non perde un colpo, mantenendosi sempre come ottimo sostegno per una chitarra solista che macina riff su riff con un’abilità davvero invidiabile. Anche la voce di Vittorio non fa davvero fatica in questo cantato sicuramente ostico per chi non possiede le giuste corde vocali. Riesce infatti a cimentarsi con le note di registro più alto con una naturalezza e una competenza indubbie. Complimenti ragazzi!DON’T BELIEVE: altra esplosione di potenza ed energia! Ascoltatevi l’inizio e capirete di cosa sto parlando! I Listeria hanno un’eccellente capacità compositiva. Sfruttano infatti appieno le dinamiche e le strutture che compongono un brano, allentando per un attimo la morsa durante le strofe ed esplodendo fortissimi nel refrain. In questa Don’t believe tutte queste caratteristiche sono ben messe in evidenza e sono facili da captare anche per le orecchie meno allenate.LITTLE STAR: un altro merito sta nel fatto che i brani non sono mai molto lunghi. Ciò permette ai Listeria di non perdersi in tecnicismi esagerati ma di dimostare l’immediatezza della loro proposta in non più di quattro minuti e questo secondo me è un pregio, destinato ai pochi che sono bravi, sanno di esserlo e non devono dimostrarlo a nessuno! Questa Little Star si evidenza soprattutto per le chitarre di granito e il riff iniziale che mi è entrato subito nel cuore!DELIGHT: inizio alquanto originale per un brano in cui il registro vocale si assesta su ottave inferiori, pur non perdendo di intensità. Brano dalle ricercate soluzioni armoniche, forse non immediato come i precedenti, ma sicuramente apprezzabile per le orecchie più esigenti. Ci mostra che i Listeria hanno “spessore” anche quando si tratta di comporre qualcosa di meno immediato.ACTION: dopo un inizio affidato ad un campionamento tratto da non so cosa parte il brano. Forse il passaggio è un po’ troppo brusco e forzato, e quando i Listeria iniziano a suonare è già bello che dimenticato, anche se trovo che sia il brano più debole del lotto dato che non decolla a duemila chilometri orari come fanno tutti gli altri. Serve comunque a tirare il fiato dopo la cavalcata che ci ha portati fino a qui!ROCK IS MY DJ: ed eccoci all’ultimo brano di questo full-lenght. Grande inno al rock che mi ricorda l’immensa “Aces high”, se non altro per le sensazioni che mi provoca ascoltandola. Davvero un ottimo brano, “summa” di tutto quello che di positivo i Listeria sono in grado di fare e… credetemi, sanno fare parecchio!!!In conclusione trovo che i Listeria con questo lavoro dimostrino professionalità e caratura tecnica sicuramente superiori alla media. Probabilmente, anzi sicuramente, le illustri collaborazioni che vantano, hanno dato il loro contributo! Splendida lezione per chi pubblica cd inconsistenti dopo pochi mesi di vita dalla fondazione di una band: è sempre meglio farsi anni di gavetta e poi raccogliere soddisfazioni piuttosto che bruciarsi con album privi di qualsiasi coinvolgimento.I Listeria sono dei professioni seri e consiglio a tutti gli amanti del rock, del metal classico, del power, ma anche a chi ascolta semplicemente della buona musica, di procurarsi questo album italiano di qualità. Metalchannel (Switzerland)Listeria, tatsächlich eine Band voll mit Feuer! Da bewegt man sich wirklich mal wieder in die guten alten 80er heavy Metal zeiten zurück. Aber auch nur vom Stil her, denn die Qualität und der Klang sind weitaus besser... wie zu erwarten ist. Die Texte allerdings behandeln auf eine fast etwas progressive Art (unsinnige) Themen von heute. Dies merkt man schon wenn man die Tracklist etwas genauer anschaut. Listeria wissen, wie man richtig guten Heavy Metal ohne Schnick Schnack macht! Diese Tatsache freut mich am meisten an diesem Album. Extrem gute Riffs, gemischt mit melodischen Soli. Der mittelstarke Gesang weiss durch eine normale fast tiefe und raue Tonart zu überzeugen. Begleitet wird das ganze von ordentlichem Bass und natürlich den Drums. Die Rhythmen der Drums sind nicht immer die besten, dass muss ich schon sagen, doch wäre mehr Technik dahinter gewesen, hätte die Scheibe sicher nicht dieses "Altertums-80er-Flair"! Live for Metal (USA) Hailing from Italy, Listeria’s brand of metal is very straightforward. They don’t mess around with too much experimentation. Full of Fire, the bands debut, is very efficient, too, with the average song length just over 3 minutes and the whole thing right around 30 minutes in length. Within each short track, though, they manage to pack quite a punch, as they play fairly fast and furious. They are a high energy band, that’s for sure, and they put forth a party-like vibe with each song. Think Van Halen in the early days. Vocals are handled by Vittorio Scotti and his voice fits the style of music perfectly. He has a strong delivery and powerful presence, somewhat Dio-like. He doesn’t venture into too high a range, opting instead to keep more in the middle, which suits me just fine. The rhythm section of bassist Angelo Di Generro and drummer Giancarlo Noto keep things flowing at a good pace and they provide a real good punch. There are some nice bass lines, specifically track 6 Don’t Believe, which also includes some tasteful double bass drums. The twin guitar attack is handled by Luciano Toscani and Peirluigi Boschi. I always like the idea of having 2 guitarists as it can mean a fuller, more potent sound. Listeria doesn’t disappoint in that regard. Together, Toscani and Boschi offer a good amount of firepower, although with the short songs it’s hard for either one to standout much.

 

..:: Track By Track ::..
The CD opens on a strong note with the song Like Ali. Not sure if they were going for the “sting like a bee” part of the famous Muhammed Ali quote (float like a butterfly, sting like a bee) but I think it works anyway. This song gets the party started with a bang. A great song to begin the CD with, immediately capturing the audience and leaving whoever may be listening a little breathless and wanting more.

Wolf Over 3D is a title I don’t quite understand, but who cares. I like the song. It got my feet tapping along. This is another upbeat and up-tempo song that even incorporates a sample from the Wizard of Oz (I’ll get you my pretty – and your little dog, too). Not sure of the significance but it adds a little humor to the mix. The guitar solo is pretty sweet, as well, and leads to a short bit of cool riffage before ending swiftly.

The pace does not slow down with the next track, Swim in the Mud. This is a barnburner, much like the first song. There is a cool, short instrumental breakdown in the middle before returning to the speedier pace, and finally ending in a flash.

With track four, Emily, the tempo is toned down slightly at the beginning, yet the song still retains that over the top characteristic. The song closes out with a flourish, though, but much too soon. The song cocks in at only 2:44 – much too short. I feel gypped.

Shadow slows the pace even more than the previous track. It still rocks, though, as evidenced by my tapping feet and bobbing head. This song has the most “rock n roll” like sound and could possibly do well on edgier, more risk-taking rock radio stations, believe it or not.

Don’t Believe is up next and is probably my favorite song on the CD. It starts with a bang and is quite fast overall with some sweet drumming. I think it is the most aggressive song on a CD full of not-very-aggressive songs. The solo is tasteful. Again, my biggest complaint is that it ends just as I was hitting my air guitar stride.

Little Star opens with some cool drumming and riffage. Nothing real heavy, just kinda cool and it sets a good tone for the rest of the song. As with every other song on this CD I find my feet tapping right along the whole time. That’s a good sign for me.

Delight follows up and is the shortest song on the CD at only 2:16. There is some nice drumming on this song along with good vocal harmonies. The quick guitar solo is possibly the most shred-like on Full of Fire. It’s a short and sweet song - no filler, no mess. Get in, get out, nobody gets hurt.

Action, track nine, has a frantic sound. There is a lot of “action” going on in this song, especially at the beginning and end. The middle section seems to lose a little focus, however. This is also seemingly the most experimental song. Not in an avant-garde kind of way, though. What is different is the overall structure. The pace is quite varied – it is not a straightforward rocking song. Vocals are also more unusual with Scotti hitting some higher notes. It’s a good song that took a few listens before I enjoyed it. I think because it is not like the others – a straightforward fast rocker – I was not quite sure what to think.

The CD closes out with a somewhat cheesy song called Rock is my DJ. I think most metalheads would say that this is to some extent a true statement but it just sounds funny to me. In any case, the band returns back to the party-like vibe of the rest of the CD with this song. And the pace is back to normal as well, upbeat and up-tempo



In listening to Full of Fire I could not really find any obvious faults. The band consists of more than competent musicians and they don’t seem to follow any tried and true formula. They do not sound stale, like it’s all been done before. But I also don’t hear anything groundbreaking. They play fast, catchy songs and infuse a good amount of energy into everything they do. I must say, though, that I really wish the songs were longer. I think they could have stretched things out a bit and showed off their collective chops without loosing any intensity or energy. Shapeless Zine (Italy)Il nome Listeria non dovrebbe risultare sconosciuto ai più, sebbene questa sia la prima release ufficiale della band. I Listeria infatti si sono formati nei primi anni '90 e il primo demo-tape omonimo risale al '95. Sembra quasi superfluo sottolineare la gavetta fatta nell'arco di questo lungo periodo, ma ritengo sia doveroso citare il percorso che la band ha affrontato prima di approdare all'esordio discografico. Ecco quindi un po' di informazioni.
Nel 1998 Metal Hammer organizza un concorso denominato "Opening Band Contest" per supportare come special guest il tour europeo degli Iron Savior e Edguy e i Listeria verranno scelti come unica band italiana per lo show al Babylonia di Biella. Successivamente la band intensifica l'attività dal vivo, prende parte alla compilation "The Fridge" col brano "Infernal Voice", vincono il "Filmore Contest 98", registrano il secondo demo-tape "Something Mind"; nell'ottobre 1999 registrano il videoclip del brano "Swimming In The Mud", nel 2000 il brano "Rock Is My DJ" viene inserito nella compilation "Fuori Base 2000", realizzata dal club Fuori Orario di Reggio Emilia. Ma non è finita: nel 2003 viene registrato il nuovo promo dal titolo "Again", lavoro che ottiene riscontri positivi al punto che la band affronta un tour nazionale di sei mesi, supportata dalla Eagle Booking Live Promotion. Tutto questo movimento porta ad una maggiore visibilità anche internazionale, al punto che i Listeria avranno la possibilità di esibirsi aprendo i concerti di numerosi artisti tra cui Kim & The Cadillacs e Ten Years After (2003), Michael Schenker Group (2004), Dokken, Blaze e Tigertailz (2005) oltre ai nostrani Pino Scotto, Labyrinth, Domine ed altri.
Nel settembre 2005 esce questo "Full Of Fire", album che risulta composto da dieci brani e che vede la seguente formazione: Vittorio Scotti "Witto" (voce), Luciano Toscani "Ciano" (chitarra solista e cori), Pierluigi Boschi "Gigio" (chitarra ritmica e cori), Angelo Di Gennaro "Hanjo" (basso) e Giancarlo Noto "Gian" (batteria) che nel disco suona sei dei dieci brani totali mentre gli altri quattro vedono Alessio Groppi dietro alle pelli.
I Listeria per la propria musica traggono ispirazione dal heavy metal anni '80 e lo fanno senza mezze misure; la loro è una musica potente, aggressiva, fatta di riff killer energici e coinvolgenti, da headbanging continuo.
Si segue quindi la vecchia scuola, quella dei Judas Priest, dei Saxon, degli Accept, andando anche a pescare elementi power degli Armored Saint. Il risultato è sicuramente positivo ed è frutto di diverse componenti. Innanzitutto va fatto notare che la band ha un amalgama notevole e questo lo si deve sia all'ottima preparazione tecnica ma soprattutto all'esperienza che la band ha maturato in sede live. Sicuramente una delle cose più difficili da fare in studio è riuscire a riprodurre l'energia che naturalmente si viene a ricreare in un concerto dal vivo (sempre se la band abbia le palle, sia ben chiaro): beh, i Listeria ci sono riusciti alla grande e forse è proprio questo il pregio principale dell'album, al di là di tutte le considerazioni che si possono fare.
I brani scorrono fluidi e tutto l'album non presenta un momento di calo che sia uno; l'attenzione dell'ascoltatore è sempre costante anche se alla lunga il lavoro perde di freschezza e risulta essere un po' prevedibile e scontato. D'altronde è inutile negare l'evidenza e i Listeria nemmeno lo fanno: per loro questo è il vero heavy metal e i Listeria lo suonano così, senza contraddizioni e senza fronzoli. Un pugno nello stomaco e via!
La produzione è buona ed azzeccata, con le chitarre (manco a dirlo) in primo piano che macinano in continuazione riff su riff, assoli su assoli, il tutto supportato dall'incalzare della sezione ritmica e dalla voce che riesce a rendere al meglio l'energia sprigionata dai brani. La scelta delle sonorità pur rifacendosi a cliché "old style" riesce comunque ad offrire un sound moderno che bene si sposa col songwriting; personalmente avrei preferito la voce un poco più in evidenza.
I brani che mi hanno colpito di più sono la opener "Like Alì", "Swim In The Mud" e "Shadow", ma ripeto che è un lavoro che presenta pochi punti deboli e un'omogeneità che difficilmente riesco a riscontrare soprattutto nei debut album.
Se proprio vogliamo trovare dei difetti, si può dire che non ci sono elementi particolarmente innovativi e che alla lunga alcuni brani sanno un po' di deja-vu. Niente di nuovo sotto il sole, insomma, ma va anche detto che la personalità della band c'è ed emerge indiscutibilmente anche dall'ascolto dei brani meno coinvolgenti.
Comunque vi invito a visitare l'oramai indispensabile paginetta di My Space (http://www.myspace.com/listeriametalband) da cui potete ascoltare le versioni complete di "Like Alì", "Wolf Over 3D" e "Rock Is My DJ" mentre dalla sezione "discografia" del sito ufficiale avete degli estratti dai suddetti brani ed anche da "Swim In The Mud" e "Little Star". Se vi piacciono, non esitate un secondo a procurarvi l'album perché ne non resterete delusi.
Concludo dicendo che questo "Full Of Fire" è assolutamente indispensabile per tutti coloro che si considerino veri amanti del metal anni '80 e per coloro che vivono col calendario indietro di una ventina d'anni circa!

Sleaze-metal (Germany)Wenn man sich die Rezensionen von „Full im Fire“ bei anderen Magazinen ansieht, geht die Bewertung von „Scheisse bis Geil“, was mich natürlich immer bewegt ein Album genauer unter die Lupe zu nehmen. „Listeria“ kommen aus Italien und haben sich Melodic Metal verschrieben, mit einer ordentlichen Portion 80er Hard Rock, was bei mir natürlich auf Zustimmung trifft. Nun gut, die Scheibe ist wirklich sehr kurz, 10 Songs und 30 Minuten Spielzeit, aber ist dass ein Grund für ein schlechtes Album? Sicher nicht, da gab es schon andere vor ihnen die dass so gemacht haben und in den 80er, waren die Songs meist knapp über 3 Minuten. Die Produktion ist wirklich gut geworden, fette Drums, knackiger Sound und eine tolle Balance bei den Chören. Die Songs sind fast alle sehr mitreißend, da hätten wir mal den Opener „Like All“ der schon mal entzückt, dann dass krachende „Swim in the Mud“ oder dass enorm 80er lastige „Emily“ dass mir verdammt gut gefällt. Wir haben hier zwar nichts, dass nicht schon in einer Form da war, aber wenn ich mir neue Sounds anhöre, dann kann ich mir ja auch gleich ne Nu Metal Band anhören, aber die hören sich ja mittlerweile auch alle gleich an. Mir gefällt die Mischung aus Metal Krachern ala „Don’t Believe“ , „Little Star“ „Action“ und Hard Rock Hymnen in Form von „Wolf Over 3D“ wirklich gut und die Melodien sind klasse und irgendwie auch innovativ. Ohne Zweifel kann ich euch die Platte empfehlen und die Italiener konnten mit tatsächlich ein Stück weit Begeistern.by Vince Curiger
